• Fits most 2-1/8" x 1-3/8" strike and 1-0" x 2-1/8" catch ball catch, including Baldwin, Emtek or Ives

• Used to reduce noise caused by doors when closing. The noise is reduced by use of the memory foam type material
• Each door installation varies and often a noise can be reduced from the jamb on the non-hinge side or installed position of the magnetic catch.
• May be used on any door which is causing too loud of close, pocket doors, swing/hinged doors, cabinets, drawers etc.

• The easiest way to replace an existing or failed ball catch is to install the Precision next to the existing ball catch hardware. Leave the existing strike on the door jam. Usually, these are morticed into the jam and removing them will leave an unsightly gap. Remove the ball catch from the door. You won't be able to see the existing hole. Alternatively, you can crank down the ball into the door. Install slightly to the left of the existing ball catch. Note that when you install the new strike into the door jam, the screw supplied with the Precision may not be long enough to make it through to the solid header (behind the jam finish molding). You'll need to make solid contact with the header stud so the string magnet won't pull the strike out of the jam.

• Use extreme caution when handling magnets as the attractant forces are very powerful and if allowed to snap together violently small sharp chips can be thrown off.
• As with all strong neodymium magnets, use caution when handling.
