Architectural Hardware for the Detail Fetishist
Do you cringe at the sight of a not-quite-flush door? Find yourself checking the dustboxes for their specified finish? Are you a no fuss modern designer frustrated by the frills of “contemporary” design? Would you rather not see hardware at all? If so, you’re in the right place!
Welcome to Better Building Hardware. Our aim is to provide architectural hardware for the detail fetishist. We’re here to satisfy your desire for what fits best, not whatever's at hand.
We've partnered with the folks at Index-d; we let them do all the digging to discover the best architectural products available. Better Building Hardware's role is to make the fantastic products found by Index-d easy to purchase.
Don't settle for unsightly hardware. Join us in the fight against ugliness.
A little bit more about us
Here's some important stuff you should know before we get into this relationship!
Better Building Hardware (aka BBH) is not your standard ecommerce site, nor are we your standard/traditional hardware dealer. We're striving for a hybrid model that can accommodate the quick purchase needs for items that are readily available while providing the same level of attention to detail and care that you can get from a custom hardware dealer.
The means we are looking at every single order that comes through. We're going to reach out to you if the items are not in stock to help suggest alternatives or talk you off of that sharp deadline ledge you're teetering on (we know you're under some pressure).
We have the knowledge to help specify any of the hardware we sell online and are more than happy to do so. This is why you will probably notice that you are not able to purchase everything on this site on your own. "Call us for a quote" is one of our favorite things to say!
We would much rather spend a few minutes with you on the phone to make sure the hardware is what you need for your project.
