Ghostop GS300XD Flush Door Stop

Ghostop is concealed, and virtually–invisible to the eye. Ghostop’s unique mechanical action uses a retracting pin powered by a rare–earth magnet to connect with a strike plate for a strong stop and hold.

FEATURES
  • The Ghostop GS300XD was developed to provide a flush-to-the-floor (or ceiling) door stop for heavier doors on any surface zero clearance required. GS300XD doorstop features a spring-loaded solid stainless steel pin. Note, the pin extends upon approaching the magnetic strike producing an easily released soft hold, not a strong positive latch.
INSTALLATION
  • Install Pin Assembly along bottom of door at the desired location, ~3/4 the distance to the latch side.
  • Pin Assembly bore must be thoroughly cleaned to
  • ensure proper operation.
  • Install round strike plate in jamb, or other surface, the ramp centered with pin assembly.
  • Align the strike plate ramp with the pin assembly on the door swing prior to fixing the coverplate screws with included 1” - #6 FLATHEAD
ACCESSORIES
  • Need additional Strike Assemblies, to create a stop in both open and closed positions, include the rectangular strike coverplate, the Delrin ® strike w/ramp, magnet, and fasteners.

Pair with TECTUS®, PIVOTA or Sugatsune Concealed hinge also suitable for Pivot hinges

    A : Review the KEY FEATURES on each model, GS200 models are ideal for top or side mounted installations, while GS300 models are reserved for the base of the door install in lieu of a traditional door stop
  • Q : Does the Ghostop need any additional stop installed in conjunction?
    A : No, Ghostop’s unique mechanical action uses a retracting pin to hold and stop door in the open and closed position
  • Q : What makes this different than other door stop solutions?
    A : Unlike conventional doorstops, Ghostop poses no trip hazard due to its retracting pin and flush finish, powered by a concealed rare-earth magnet the Ghostop is quiet, smooth, and provides strong a stop action
  • Q : Does the spring need any maintenance?
    A : No, the spring is constructed of 316 grade stainless steel piano wire and is completely incased requiring no maintenance.
  • Q : Can this be installed in an exterior application?
    A : Yes, consider installing the pin into the header and the reciever into the door so prevent any elements from getting caught in the spring chamber.
  • Q : Can multiple Ghostop be installed on the same door?
    A : Yes, on doors 8 ft. and taller a second ghostop may be useful to ensure the door doesn't have any sway.
  • Q : Can the Ghostop break?
    A : With proper use, the Ghostop will not fail, with anything though, improperly installed or miss-used, issues may arise with the installed Ghostop.
  • Q : What is the color white used on the WHITE finish?
    A : RAL9010 is the actual color, contact us if you need a custom color.
  • Q : Can both the GS300 and GS200 be installed on the floor?
    A : Yes you can use the GS200 as a standard door stop in the floor, i.e. it is entirely possible. However, due to the shape of the strike being rectangular instead of round, you will have no adjustability. It is not advisable.
