• The advantages of the PIVOTA® DX series are based on the design principle with the following technical features: All forces acting on the kinematic guide are absorbed by horizontal axes. This piston or surface guide guarantees an enormously high level of functional reliability. The four-arm joint forms a mesh-like interlocking. This prevents twisting or tilting of the joint, even under high loads. The five-axis joint is designed for maintenance-free long-term operation in conjunction with the piston guide.
• The [Design] option is ideal for a puristic look without fastening or adjusting screws. Magnetically held cover plates provide easy access to the screws while covering them aesthetically. High-quality material is a matter of course for our quality products. Only solid steel, stainless steel or aluminum are used.

• Q : Is the listed capacity for each hinge or for a pair?
  A : The capacities listed are considering two (2) BaSys hinges they have been engineered to work best with two (2)
• Q : Can I get a greater load capacity by adding hinges?
  A : If greater capacity is required, use the next hinge in the line BaSys has hinge models to accomodate up to 770 lbs (350 kg) - PIVOTA® DXS 300 3D "Steel"
• Q : Where do I place the hinges on the door?
  A : Top and bottom hinges should be located 10" (on center) from the top and bottom edge of the door. Unlike with Soss hinges, a third hinge will not add capacity to the system. With taller doors, installers often use a third hinge in the center.
